From October 30 to November 6\, we invite you to visit our ofrenda (altar) and take part in this beautiful tradition of remembrance. 🕯️🌼 \nThe altar will be in the Warner Hall Lyceum on the Midtown campus from Oct. 30 to Nov. 4\, at which time it will be relocated to White Hall\, also on the Midtown campus\, for Nov. 5 and 6. \nBring a photo or item to add to the ofrenda as we come together to celebrate life\, love\, and memory. ❤️ \nThis event is sponsored by the Department of Social Sciences\, LASO\, WCSU Beyond Borders\, the Office of Diversity\, Equity\, & Inclusion\, and the UndocuAlly Taskforce.

DESCRIPTION:SILENT WITNESS EXHIBIT: Come visit our Silent Witness Exhibit from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the lower level of the Westside Campus Center in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The exhibit consists of statues of individuals\, across the state of Connecticut\, who have died due to acts of domestic and dating violence. All participants will be encouraged to reflect and share ways they can make a difference in the community\, both safely and effectively\, to help break the cycle of interpersonal violence. Hosted by The Center for Empowerment and Education.

DESCRIPTION:ELECTION CONNECTION: A dedicated student crew will present WCSU’s 15th annual “Election Connection” news production providing local coverage of Connecticut races as well as weather\, sports and exploration of important issues. Since its debut in November 2011\, “Election Connection” has provided election night coverage of information and race results featuring a team of students in the studio and in the field covering key races and topics important to western Connecticut. This year’s show airs on election evening\, Tuesday\, Nov. 4\, from 8 p.m. to midnight. \n“Election Connection” will stream over YouTube at WCSU Studio Election Connection\, on Facebook and on the WCSU website at www.wcsu.edu/live.
