DESCRIPTION:SURVIVOR ART GALLERY: The Center for Empowerment and Education will host its annual Survivor Art Gallery for Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) on Monday\, April 20\, from 1  – 7 p.m.\, and Tuesday\, April 21\, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.\, in the Westside Campus Center Ballroom. This event will showcase students’ and community members’ paintings\, drawings\, photography\, poems\, stories\, and more that exemplify their story of abuse\, assault\, trauma\, healing and survival. The event is free and open to the public! \nSUBMIT YOUR ART: If you are interested in submitting artwork\, please fill out the submission form using this link: qr.link/6XoJem \nPlease contact Ann Marie\, Volunteer & Survivor Engagement Coordinator\, at Annmarie.m@thecenterct.org if you are in need of any accommodations\, have questions\, or need more information. \nWhen and where do I submit my art? Christine Palm\, a former state representative and founder of The Active Voice\, a nonprofit for young environmentalists\, will be our speaker. We will also have a roundtable of students sharing and engaging in dialogue about what hope means to them in the context of the climate crisis.
