SUMMARY:Breakneck Ridge Hiking Trip
DESCRIPTION:BREAKNECK RIDGE HIKING TRIP: Breakneck Ridge is a 3.7 mile loop consisting of great views\, lots of rock scrambling (hiking steep terrain using all four limbs)\, and lots to explore. It will take approximately four hours to complete. We will be leaving Saturday morning at 8 a.m. from the Student Center bus stop and returning around 3/3:30 p.m. Expect a steep ascent and chilly fall weather. \nThis trip is limited to ten people so be sure to sign up on engage. \nBe prepared\, the trail will be steep and you will need to climb on all fours to get up.

DESCRIPTION:CANCELLED: WHITE WATER RAFTING: Go white water rafting with the Adventure Club. We will leave in the morning at 8:30 a.m.\, camp at Upper Goose Pond Saturday night then head to Crab Apple White Water Rafting Sunday morning. Meet at the bus stop outside the Student Center. This event was cancelled. Instead\, a hike is planned for 8 a.m. the same day. \nThis is an overnight trip! We will leave October 8th and return October 9th.

DESCRIPTION:HIKING ON LILLINONAH TRAIL: Join the Adventure Club for a scenic hike at Upper Paugussett State Forest! We will meet at the parking lot at 3 p.m.\, and we will be back at roughly 6 p.m. There will be no transportation provided\, so if you need a ride contact the email at the end for carpooling options. Remember you have to RSVP on engage AND fill out the liability waiver to save a spot. The waiver should be in forms on the left hand side of the screen. \nParking Lot Coordinates: 41.44857\, -73.30836 \nWhat to wear: Footwear with grippy soles. Pants appropriate for hiking. \nWhat to consider: Snacks/something to eat. First aid kit. Trekking poles. \nWhat to avoid: Cotton. It kills. It does not wick moisture and it does not dry. \nWhat to bring: Small backpack/day pack. Water. Long sleeve shirt/sweatshirt. SUMMARY:Sleeping Giant Hike
DESCRIPTION:SLEEPING GIANT MID DAY HIKE: Join the Adventure Club at Sleeping Giant State Park! We are hiking up the blue trail\, which is steep with some rock scrambling\, but the trail is short\, which means a lot of fun! Once we reach the top we will stop for lunch and admire the view; on a clear day you can see Long Island Sound. On the way down we will follow the tower trail\, which is a fire road\, so a nice and easy downhill. \nThe plan is to meet at the Sleeping Giant State Park parking lot at 10:45 a.m. and be back at the parking lot at 1:30 p.m. at the latest.
