DESCRIPTION:(CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER) HIKE AT HUCKLEBERRY POINT AND UPPER JAPANESE FALLS: Join the WCSU Adventure Club as we hike Huckleberry Point. \nThis is a 5-mile hike at Huckleberry Point; when you get to the top you will see the beautiful Catskills on your right and Hudson River to the left. Transportation will be provided\, the Adventure Club will be traveling with a van. We will take a break for lunch so be sure to pack one! \nThe address is: 2425 Platte Clove Rd\, Elka Park\, NY 12427\nAnd the coordinates are: (42.133607°N\, 74.082241°W \nPlease bring plenty of water\, a lunch\, hiking shoes or boots (ones you aren’t afraid to get a little dirty)\, and dress appropriately for the weather (layers are encouraged as you may get hot while hiking)! \nSpace in the van is limited\, be sure to RSVP ASAP! \nTake a look at this ten-essentials list to prepare yourself for the woods along with our suggestions below. \nWhat to wear: \nFootwear with grippy soles\nShorts/pants appropriate for hiking\nhat/gloves \nWhat to consider:\nSnack\nFirst aid kit \nWhat to avoid:\nCotton. It kills. SUMMARY:Trout Brook Valley State Park Hike
DESCRIPTION:TROUT BROOK VALLEY STATE PARK HIKE: Come and join the Adventure Club for a hike at Trout Brook Valley Preserve! \nWe will meet there at 9:30 a.m.\, and are estimated to end at around noon. Transportation will not be provided\, but if you need a ride contact peschier001@wcsu.edu\, and we can arrange a carpool. \nThe coordinates for parking are 41.24568\, -73.34232\, make sure to get there early as the parking lot is small and fills up quickly. If you can’t get in\, parking should be available by the side of the road\, but make sure you come to the parking lot so we’re all in the same place. \nSome parts of the trails can be steep and muddy\, so make sure you come prepared with appropriate shoes. \nFinally\, remember to BOTH sign up on engage and fill out the liability waiver.
