DESCRIPTION:TARRYWILE PARK HIKING LOOP: Saturday 9/28 – 3 to 6 p.m. \nTarrywile Park: 41.38078\, -73.45383 \nJoin the Adventure Club on an easy ~4 mile hike. This hike is limited to 25 people\, open to all WCSU students\, faculty and staff. Note that transportation is not provided and encourage carpooling. Limited carpooling from the Midtown campus police station is leaving at 2:30 p.m. sharp that afternoon\, please contact tarbet002@wcsu.edu for remaining seats before 2 p.m.\, 9/28. \nPlease RSVP and fill out a waiver form before attending Friday. \nWhat to wear: \nFootwear with grippy soles\nShorts/pants appropriate for hiking\nhat/gloves\nWhat to consider: \nSnack/something to eat\nFirst aid kit \nWhat to avoid: \nCotton. It kills. It does not wick moisture and it does not dry\nWhat to bring: \nSmall backpack/day pack\nWater\nLong sleeve shirt/light sweatshirt/layers to regulate sweating\nWindbreaker \nWords of advice: \nAvoid sweating by managing your layers while hiking.\nThe ground may be wet or slippery. Flat-soled shoes are guaranteed to have you on your rear end. Leave them home\nDress appropriately for November.\nLeave No Trace.
