DESCRIPTION:SOCIAL MOVEMENTS IN AMERICAN POLITICS: In sponsorship by the Office of Diversity and Equity\, Professor H. Howell Williams will host Dr. Deva Woodly of the New School for Social Research to discuss her new book on Black Lives Matter Matter and American democracy. Dr. Woodly’s talk will center around the important role of social movements in American politics amid ongoing efforts to secure racial justice.
