DESCRIPTION:MFA IN CREATIVE AND PROFESSIONAL WRITING WELCOME BACK EVENT AT AQUILA’S NEST VINEYARDS: Come join Western Connecticut State University’s MFA in Creative and Professional Writing in kicking off the fall 2024 semester and celebrating their 20th anniversary at noon at Aquila’s Nest Vineyards\, 56 Pole Bridge Road\, Newtown. All are welcome – current students\, faculty\, alumni\, and prospective students. Come learn more about our unique low-residency program\, which offers week-long residencies in Oscar Wilde’s historic home in Dublin\, the Highlights Retreat Center in the Pocono Mountains\, and on WCSU’s campus in Danbury. \nWine is not included in the ticket. A drink purchase of a minimum $10 plus tax and gratuity per participant is required to attend this event and can be made at the vineyard prior to the start of the event\, after our staff checks your ID. Aquila’s Nest has many non-alcoholic options as well. \nOutside alcohol beverages\, water bottles or any other beverages are NOT allowed to be brought in the premises of the vineyard. Be sure to bring your walking shoes\, you’ll get your steps in by touring our Midtown location and our Nursing facilities.\nAdmissions Requirements\, Clinical Opportunities\, and NCLEX Prep…OH MY!\nIn order to maintain the safety of our students and staff\, the following guidelines must be met: \n∙ All visitors must register in advance to attend a campus visit. Tours will be limited to one student and two guests to allow for social distancing.
