SUMMARY:26th Annual Jazz Fest
DESCRIPTION:26TH ANNUAL JAZZ FEST: WCSU HONORS JAZZ ENSEMBLES & JAMIE BEGIAN BIG BAND: Our 2023 Jazz festival ends with three groups; two of which are comprised of some of the most outstanding\, select\, high school students from across the state. These groups will be directed by Dr. Jimmy Greene and Jamie Begian. \nFollowing the high school student all-star bands\, and bringing the festival to a close\, Jamie Begian will lead an outstanding big band of WCSU alumni in a set of his original music for large jazz ensemble. The event takes place from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Veronica Hagman Concert Hall in the Visual and Performing Arts Center. \n**Free tickets for Faculty\, Staff and WCSU Students are available at the VPAC box office located in the VPAC lobby – a valid WCSU ID is required at the time of purchase** \nNOTE: Advance ticket purchases made online are $7 plus fees; Tickets purchased at the door are $10. \nNo refunds or exchanges are permitted\, all sales are final.
