DESCRIPTION:INDOOR ROCK CLIMBING: Join the Adventure Club for Rock Climbing at Rock Climb Fairfield on Saturday\, Feb. 22! We’ll be meeting at Rock Climb Fairfield at 3 p.m.\, and we’ll help anyone who wants to climb and belay\, as the event officially ends at 5 p.m. You will be getting a day pass\, so you can stay as long as you wish\, which is until 9 p.m. Tickets are $26 if you don’t have your own climbing shoes or harness\, and $22 if you do. The club also has gear\, however we don’t have every size. SUMMARY:Opening Ceremony to celebrate new School of Graduate\, International\, and Career Studies
DESCRIPTION:The recent announcement of the creation of the School of Graduate\, International\, and Career Studies (SGICS) at Western Connecticut State University will be celebrated with an Opening Ceremony and official launch for the new school at 9 a.m. in Ives Concert Hall in White Hall on the Midtown campus. \nThe Feb. 28 event will include an introduction by SGICS Dean Dr. Yaseen Hayajneh and remarks by WestConn President (Interim) Dr. Manohar Singh\, who will reflect on the strategic importance of SGICS and its alignment with the university’s vision. Subsequent speakers will discuss the role of SGICS in fostering graduate education\, workforce development\, student career readiness\, and global engagement. Also expected to address attendees are local politicians\, a WCSU Foundation Board member\, and WestConn alumni and/or students who will speak about their personal educational experiences at the university. \nFollowing the speaker segment\, guests will be treated to light refreshments and the opportunity to meet and mingle with university leadership and other guests.

DESCRIPTION:BLACK HISTORY MONTH WEEK 4: This February\, in celebration of Black History Month\, our dining hall is proud to present four weeks of diverse and flavorful menus honoring Black culture and cuisine. Each week will highlight a different culinary theme\, served at both campuses during dinner. This week is inspired by Caribbean influences: on Monday\, Feb. 24\, enjoy Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas; on Wednesday\, Feb. 26\, savor Curried Chicken with Roti; and on Friday\, Feb. 28\, indulge in Pelau\, Fried Plantains\, and Doubles. Join us as we celebrate through the rich traditions of food! From 4 to 8 p.m. in Berkshire Hall on the Midtown campus and the Westside Campus Center.
