This fun event is a great way for you to play a role in guiding the city council in making plans for the future of our city. Bring family and friends\, wear your walking shoes\, and dress to be outside. \nWhen: Tuesday\, April 22\,  4 -6 p.m. Where: Danbury Museum & Historical Society Parking Lot\, 43 Main Street (start of our ‘walk audit’) \nSchedule: 4 – 4:30 p.m.: Gathering and orientation to the project and the data we want to collect. 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.: Teams will be guided on a slow walk around downtown and will provide their observations to student researchers. 5:30 – 6 p.m.: Reconvene at the Danbury Museum & History Society for discussion and light refreshments. \nInterpretation: Spanish and Portuguese interpretation will be provided for those who need it.

DESCRIPTION:WALLY’S CUPBOARD: Wally’s Cupboard by SGA is the WestConn campus food pantry created by students for students! At Wally’s Cupboard\, we aim to provide a reliable source of groceries and other supplies to students experiencing food insecurity on a weekly basis. \nWish to utilize our resources? All currently enrolled students are eligible! Just stop by with your active student ID and sign up during our open hours. Registration is valid for the entire semester and you can “shop” our grocery store-style food pantry once per week. We do our best to cater to dietary restrictions and we offer canned goods\, fresh produce\, dairy products\, frozen items\, and more! \nUnsure if you are food insecure? Food insecurity is defined as a state of being where one is unsure where their next meal is coming from. Don’t hesitate to swing by if you are still unsure! Hours are listed below. DESCRIPTION:HEALTH\, FITNESS AND WELLNESS FAIR: Come join the Recreation Department for our 10th annual Health\, Fitness and Wellness Fair! Our objective is to increase awareness of topics related to health\, fitness and wellness by providing activities\, materials\, demonstrations\, screenings and information. Learn how to belay down a mountain\, learn about stress management techniques\, self-care tips and giveaways and much\, much more! Pet our therapy dogs and kittens … and let’s not forget the baby goats! Also highlighted are our HPX students who will be providing comprehensive and holistic approaches to health promotion and education through interactive demonstrations. Free food\, t -shirts and giveaways!  From noon to 3 p.m. in the Bill Williams Gym in Berkshire Hall on the Midtown campus. And this year\, we are celebrating our 10-year anniversary with tethered hot air balloon rides on the Midtown Recreation Field near the Science Building.
