DESCRIPTION:WALLY’S CUPBOARD – FREE GROCERIES FOR WCSU STUDENTS: Wally’s Cupboard is the SGA-founded food pantry available to all currently registered WCSU students suffering from food insecurity. We are working every day to minimize the impact of food insecurity at our university by physically opening our doors twice a week\, offering contact-free bag pickups (beginning late October)\, and providing events to increase our impact and decrease negative stigma associated with our services. To register for free weekly groceries\, please stop by during our open hours at any point throughout the semester. From 1 to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the Wolves Den in the lower level of the Student Center on the Midtown campus.

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) offers free tax preparation for individuals and families with tax opportunities for students. From 4 to 5 p.m. in Room 212/214 of the Westside Campus Center. \nThis is an excellent opportunity to meet with the local Danbury chapter and hear about the program as well as volunteer opportunities (great for Accounting Majors!) VITA  is a program that offers free tax help to low-income individuals\, providing students with hands-on experience in tax preparation. Volunteering with VITA is valuable for students as it enhances their practical accounting skills\, builds their resumes\, and fosters a sense of community service. It also offers an opportunity to network with professionals while making a tangible difference for those in need. We look forward to seeing you and some participating professors may offer extra credit for your support.

Born in Danbury\, he used the sights and sounds of our community to craft his works which eventually led to international recognition. We are thrilled that international\, national and local artists have approached our groups to structure free\, engaging performances in honor of the man\, the legend\, the giant of American composition.
