SUMMARY:Biology Research Seminar
DESCRIPTION:UNRAVELING STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS\, CARBON DYNAMICS AND WATER USE EFFICIENCY OF ECOSYSTEMS USING REMOTE SENSING OBSERVATATIONS AND DEEP LEARNING: The Department of Biology invites everyone to the Biology Department Seminar Fall Series. Our next speaker is Dr. Katerina Trepekli from the Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management at the University of Copenhagen. Based on the concepts of micrometeorology\, we will discuss the potentials of gas analyzers\, laser scanners\, multispectral and thermal imagery onboard drones to map water use efficiency and vegetation indices of ecosystems at cm spatial resolution. \nFrom 4 to 5 p.m. in Room 125 of the Science Building on the Midtown campus.
