DESCRIPTION:GELLI PRINT WORKSHOP:\nSaturday\, March 7\, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.\nInstructor: Catherine Vanaria\, Professor Emerita\, WCSU \nVisual & Performing Arts Center\, Room 145\n43 Lake Ave. Extension\, Danbury \nLearn to create unique monotypes without using a press in this one-day workshop. Our workshop will cover multiple subjects including paints\, papers\, using textures\, magazine transfers\, laser print image transfers and layering multiple colors. No prior art experience is required! \nSupply List: WCSU’s Department of Art will supply all Art materials needed for this workshop\, but students should bring the following: \n• Magazines: bring 2-3 with you. These will be torn up. The best ones for image transfer are high-quality magazines with heavier paper stock and a thicker ink load\n(Examples: Vogue\, Harpers Bazaar\, Elle\, Vanity Fair\, Esquire\, Cosmopolitan\, National Geographic\, Architectural Digest)\n• Your own Digital photographs: Please bring a selection (up to 5 images). It will take place in The Gallery at the Visual and Performing Arts Center\, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury from Thursday\, March 26\, through Sunday\, April 12\, 2026. \nAn opening reception sponsored by the Department of Art will be held on Thursday\, March 26\, 2026\, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Gallery. The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.
