DESCRIPTION:“TAKE ME OUT” BROADWAY THEATER TRIP: In sponsorship by the Office of Diversity and Equity\, Dr. Donald Gagnon\, Associate Professor-Theatre Arts and Scott Towers\, WCSU Pride Center/Deputy Title IX Coordinator\, will be hosting a theater trip to TAKE ME OUT on Broadway which follows Darren Lemming\, star center fielder for the Empires\, who reveals he is gay and faces a barrage of long-held unspoken prejudices. Facing some hostile teammates and fraught friendships\, Darren is forced to contend with the challenges of being a gay person of color within the confines of a classic American institution. DESCRIPTION:SOUND BATH MEDITATION: When we practice self care and make our wellness a priority\, we are nurturing and honoring ourselves in the best way possible. \nJoin us for a sound bath meditation at 3:30 p.m. in the Westside Campus Center Ballroom! Sound healing can reduce stress\, enable deep relaxation\, enhance creativity\, uplift the spirit and help with insomnia. Sound Bath Meditations are a combination of restorative yoga\, meditation and a sacred sound concert. \nRegistration is encouraged but walk-ins are welcome. This event is free and open to both students and faculty at WCSU.
