SUMMARY:Borderland: The Line Within- Film Screening and Virtual Rally
DESCRIPTION:BORDERLAND: THE LINE WITHIN – FILM SCREENING AND VIRTUAL RALLY: Movie screening event featuring “Borderland: The Line Within\,” a powerful documentary that explores immigration at the border and corporate involvement in the immigration system. The screening will take place at 5 p.m. in the Midtown Student Center Room 110. Following the screening\, we will participate in a virtual National Immigrant Solidarity Rally from 7 to 9 p.m.. This unique opportunity will allow us to engage with the film’s protagonists\, including:\nGabriela Castañeda\nKaxh Mura’l\nAlex Gil\nLuis Osuna\nCarlos Spector\nThe virtual event will bring together filmmakers\, immigration rights leaders\, digital humanists\, students\, and community members nationwide to share experiences\, strategies\, and resources.
