ON MIGRATION FROM CENTRAL AMERICA: How will the US Presidential Election Outcome Impact Central American Migration? \nThe “Northern Triangle” of El Salvador\, Honduras & Guatemala currently has one of the highest rates of migration to the US. Join us for a discussion with Salvadoran community organizers & advocates at 12:30 p.m. in Room 226 in Higgins Hall on the Midtown campus\, or virtually. \nRegistration Required: Click HERE to Register!\nAttend In-Person in Higgins 226 or Virtually \nGuest Speakers: Zulma Tobar\, long-time community organizer\, working with 30+ migrant sending rural communities in El Salvador. She works on issues of education\, environmental justice\, advocacy\, and was raised by a single mother who survived the massacre in Guadalupe\, Suchitoto in 1983. Kelly Calles is co-coordinator of US/El Salvador Sister Cities with Zulma. She specializes in human rights\, governance and democracy. She has worked with civil society organizations\, participated in several electoral observation volunteer in Central and South America\, and participated in international youth forums OAS programs. Maren Walsh is a grassroots organizer in El Salvador & Mexico.
