DESCRIPTION:WCSU RESEARCH DAY: This showcase of undergraduate and graduate research\, scholarship\, and creative inquiry projects will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Ives Concert Hall. If you are just interested in research\, or not yet sure what you want to do in your future career\, it is a great opportunity to learn about the interesting work being done in a variety of fields by students like you right here at WCSU. It’s also a good way to meet other students who share your passions and interests. Projects are submitted from students from a whole range of fields including biology\, psychology\, education\, chemistry\, English\, and history. There are also two keynote speakers who are both graduates from WCSU. \nKeynote Speakers: Gill Simmons is a meteorologist who will be talking about humanizing the science of weather\, and Dr. Brittany Baisch is a toxicologist who will be talking about methods for making safer decisions in her field. \nIf you can’t make it for the whole time\, that’s ok. You can always stop in for the student poster sessions or the keynote speakers.

DESCRIPTION:NURSING OPEN HOUSE: Check-in will begin at 9:30 a.m. in White Hall on the Midtown Location located at 181 White Street in Danbury.\nThe event will begin at 10 a.m. with a presentation from the Admissions Office followed by a presentation from the WCSU Nursing Department. Be sure to bring your walking shoes\, you’ll get your steps in by touring our Midtown location and our Nursing facilities.\nAdmissions Requirements\, Clinical Opportunities\, and NCLEX Prep…OH MY!\nIn order to maintain the safety of our students and staff\, the following guidelines must be met: \n∙ All visitors must register in advance to attend a campus visit. Tours will be limited to one student and two guests to allow for social distancing.
