When (if?) the brakes are put on fossil carbon, we will need a variety of replacements. Some post-carbon sources are well known (solar, wind, hydro)\u00a0while others are not.\u00a0 We will learn that\u00a0some solutions supply energy, while others conserve it.\u00a0\u00a0A note of caution from Mitch himself, &#8220;The speaker is an ecologist, not an engineer or city planner. Therefore, definitive solutions are unlikely to be proposed. Many ideas will be discussed, however, and I hope that the audience will contribute some good ones.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The C.H.
