This hike is limited to 25 people, and open to all WCSU students, faculty, and staff. Note that transportation is not provided and encourage carpooling with one another; the parking lot can fill up quickly.<\/p>\n<p>Please RSVP and fill out a waiver form before attending Saturday. This form can also be found on our Wolves Connect home page.<\/p>\n<p>Squantz Pond: 41.50998, -73.47312<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>What to wear:<\/p>\n<p>Footwear with grippy soles<br \/>\nShorts\/pants appropriate for hiking<br \/>\nhat\/gloves<\/p>\n<p>What to consider:<\/p>\n<p>Snack\/something to eat<br \/>\nFirst aid kit<\/p>\n<p>What to avoid:<\/p>\n<p>Cotton. It kills. It does not wick moisture and it does not dry<\/p>\n<p>What to bring:<\/p>\n<p>Small backpack\/day pack<br \/>\nWater<br \/>\nLong sleeve shirt\/light sweatshirt\/layers to regulate sweating<br \/>\nWindbreaker<\/p>\n<p>Words of advice:<\/p>\n<p>Avoid sweating by managing your layers while hiking.<br \/>\nThe ground may be wet or slippery. Flat-soled shoes are guaranteed to have you on your rear end. Leave them home. Dress appropriately for November.<\/p>\n<p>Leave No Trace.
