Join us for our final Film and Forum for the Spring 2025 semester from <span style=\"color: #c70000\">3 to 5 p.m.<\/span> for a screening of &#8220;Climate Refugees,&#8221; a highly awarded documentary that focuses on the intersection between &#8220;overpopulation, excessive consumption, dwindling resources, and a shifting climate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A discussion following the screening will be led by Dr. Anna Malavisi, Associate Professor and Co-Chair of the Department of Philosophy.<\/p>\n<p>Popcorn and snacks provided by Wally&#8217;s Cupboard, WCSU&#8217;s Food Pantry. Her dissertation was titled, &#8220;Global development and its discontents: rethinking the theory and practice is a critical analysis of global development from an ethical and feminist epistemology perspective.&#8221; Her philosophical interests include: practical and global ethics, feminist philosophy\/epistemology, social and political thought, environmental philosophy and the philosophy of violence. She has a Master of Health and International Development and has worked for 16 years in Latin America in the NGO sector in areas of development practice and management.
