They are the second level of access control to buildings after the locks. Info desk staff will ask everyone entering the building for an ID to ascertain whether they are residents or guests. If a guest, the info desk staff will assist with contacting the resident, who is required to come to the desk to sign guests into the building.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mail delivery<\/li>\n<li>Sign-out of games and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Phone duty and directing calls appropriately<\/li>\n<li>Signing guests into the hall<\/li>\n<li>Attending desk worker meetings<\/li>\n<li>Being on time for scheduled shifts<\/li>\n<li>Using customer service skills when residents have questions<\/li>\n<li>Assessing situations and working with the Resident Assistants to handle situations<\/li>\n<li>Saying hello and being friendly to all who come into the hall<\/li>\n<li>Utilizing strong communication skills to communicate with staff members if help is needed<\/li>\n<li>Staying attentive and alert at the front desk<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Resident Assistants in crisis management and policy enforcement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">Requirements: <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No prior judicial history<\/li>\n<li>2.0 Cumulative GPA<\/li>\n<li>Full-Time Enrollment<\/li>\n<li>A good attitude<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work at least 5 hours a week<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends every single week<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">Hours\/Schedule: <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">5-20 hours per week<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Desk hours of operation are:<\/p>\n<p>Monday-Wednesday: 10:50am-11:50pm<br \/>\nThursday-Friday: 10:50am-1:50am<br \/>\nSaturday: 11:50am-1:50am<br \/>\nSunday: 11:50am-11:50pm<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">Pay Rate: <\/span><\/strong>$16.94 \/ hr.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">Payroll Type: <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">Department Payroll &amp; <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff5000\">Federal Work Study<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">Contact: <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">Interested students should complete the application here: <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforms.office.com%2Fr%2Fq4wB0FirTi&amp;data=05%7C02%7Cwildern%40wcsu.edu%7C7669ef69239c418df11408de94a4c59a%7Ce1622dbc94ba48ad87bba7f28074ee3d%7C0%7C0%7C639111632581691731%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=1HKKEQcE%2B6UAU6gUUn56gcwtKobI6VsW8%2BDcBON9fHE%3D&amp;reserved=0\">WCSU Housing &amp; Residence Life (HRL) Desk Worker Application \u2013 Fill out form<\/a> .
