Photo courtesy of Peggy Stewart.<\/em><br \/>As a member of the football team in 1969 and 1970, <strong><a style=\"color: #003da6\">Joseph Giaquinto<\/a><\/strong> is a standout athlete. He serves as captain of WestConn\u2019s inaugural squad, for which he scores the first two touchdowns in program history. Over the course of his career, Giaquinto averages 200 rushing and receiving yards per game, earning him the Century Club Award. Giaquinto is also the first athlete in school history to play four different sports.
