She knew from the start she wanted to go into nursing. &#8220;I love helping others and that is one of the main components of being a nurse,&#8221; she says.<\/p>\n<p>Gaudioso says WestConn was the right choice for her &#8220;because it had an amazing Nursing program and softball team.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Assistant Professor of Nursing Dr. Jennifer Ort was someone who made an impact on Gaudioso during her time here. &#8220;Dr. Ort has been a mentor of mine. She is an amazing professor and nurse. She specializes in Women\u2019s Health and that is what I want to focus on in my personal career.
