{"id":16,"date":"2017-06-29T18:39:16","date_gmt":"2017-06-29T18:39:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wcsu.wpengine.com\/history\/graduate\/"},"modified":"2018-09-27T18:22:32","modified_gmt":"2018-09-27T18:22:32","slug":"graduate","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/history\/graduate\/","title":{"rendered":"Graduate Programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>Master of Arts in History<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The Master of Arts in History is designed for students who wish to develop their skills in analyzing and interpreting historical events and interrelational developments in diverse areas of the world.\u00a0 Students are often secondary school teachers, college graduates who are preparing for a career in college teaching, and people from outside the academic world who value the intellectual challenge that the serious study of history offers.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">A student who wishes to be admitted to the Master of Arts degree program in History must hold an earned bachelor&#8217;s degree from an accredited institution of higher education with a major or minor in History or Social Science.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>General Requirements for the Master of Arts in History:<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/catalogs\/graduate\/sas\/programs\/master-of-arts-in-history\/\">(For more requirement details and a course listing, click here)<\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">To earn a Master of Arts in History, students must complete thirty (30) semester hours in a planned program, or a minimum of twenty-four (24) semester hours and a six (6) semester hour thesis (HIS 592).\u00a0 Students will plan their program with the Graduate Program Coordinator.
