Coffee cultivation began in Brazil's northern region, the state of Para, and later shifted toward the states of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. In the 20th century, coffee production systems were modernized and began to adopt increasingly innovative production techniques in order to improve competitively in product quality and cost reductions, all with the goal of achieving superior coffee bean quality and client satisfaction. In addition, producers sought to insert themselves into specific consumer markets and to increase the value added of their product by producing specialty coffees with seals of quality and geographical certifications. Our coffee's sweet, yet balanced taste is a result of the natural\\\/dry processing method we use. This traditional method has been used for centuries, and for good reason. It ensures that no sugars are lost in the process by keeping the pulp of the cherry intact. This allows for the natural sugars of the cherries (sucrose and fructose) to make the flavor honey-like. As a result, our coffee rarely needs to have sugar added to achieve optimum sweetness." The box on the bottom reads as follows: "Brazil's Vast Coffee Culture! Coffee cultivation has been a major economic industry in Brazil since the mid 1800s. Brazil produces and exports the most amount of coffee in the world. Brazil's climate is ideal for coffee growing and produces the perfect cherries. The varieties that we use in our coffee come from all over Brazil and are mainly variations of Arabica. Coffee is a huge part of the Brazilian culture. It is a way to relax, catch up with friends, and meet with business partners. Our coffee's sweet, yet balanced taste is a result of the natural\/dry processing method we use. This traditional method has been used for centuries, and for good reason. It ensures that no sugars are lost in the process by keeping the pulp of the cherry intact. This allows for the natural sugars of the cherries (sucrose and fructose) to make the flavor honey-like. We encourage our drinkers to take this Brazilian tradition of coffee drinking and make it their own." Underneath that box is an ISBN barcode.' class='envira_noscript_images ' \/><img src='https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/honors\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/54\/2019\/06\/Coffee-Bag-2-page-001.jpg' alt='The background behind the text on the left is a large volcano surrounded by many hills and rock formations.
