policy 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #00457a\"><b>\u00a0WCSU Official Mathematics Placement Policy<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Placement in mathematics courses is made using a high school grade point average (GPA), SAT math score or ACT math score.\u00a0 If more than one score is available placement is made to the highest level indicated.\u00a0 Students in STEM majors (including Math\/ Math 2nd Ed, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, HPS Allied Health, Nursing, Elementary Education IDM, DIMA CS, Meteorology) must follow the STEM sequencing below.\u00a0 All other majors follow the non-STEM sequencing.<\/p>\n<p>AP Calculus credit is given for MAT 181 to students earning a 3 or higher on the AB version of the test.\u00a0 Students earning a 3 or higher on the BC version
