The Bachelor of Arts: Music Option<\/strong>\u00a0is appropriate for students who wish to study music within the broader context of a liberal arts education. Goals for the Bachelor of Arts degree in Music include the following:<\/p>\n

  1. To prepare students for careers in music and arts-related professions.<\/li>\n
  2. To increase students\u2019 understanding and appreciation of the arts in relation to society, thus encouraging their lifelong advocacy of the arts.<\/li>\n
  3. To allow students to maintain an emphasis on music while further exploring other academic interests.<\/li>\n
  4. To foster intellectual curiosity.<\/li>\n
  5. To encourage students to seek breadth and variety in their educational pursuits to aid them in securing employment in the ever-changing global economy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Students wishing to pursue this degree program must first be admitted by audition<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Requirements: Bachelor of Arts: Music<\/p>\n
