In this role, he conducts the University Singers, Chamber Singers, and Concert Chorale, and teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in conducting, choral literature, and music education. Since his arrival at WCSU, <span class=\"outlook-search-highlight\" data-markjs=\"true\">Wiggins<\/span> has prepared the WCSU Choirs for performances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, including invited appearances at the 2023 CMEA State Conference, the 2024 ACDA Eastern Regional Conference, and the 2025 NAfME Eastern Division Conference. <span class=\"outlook-search-highlight\" data-markjs=\"true\">Wiggins<\/span> has presented sessions across the United States and internationally in the areas of conducting pedagogy, choral literature and rehearsal techniques, and culturally responsive teaching practices. He is currently the President-Elect of CT-ACDA and previously served the organization as the Repertoire &amp; Resources Chair for University and College Choirs.<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">\u200b<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\"><span class=\"outlook-search-highlight\" data-markjs=\"true\">Wiggins<\/span> is also the Artistic Director of <i>Charis Chamber Voices<\/i>\u00a0(CCV) based in Westchester County, New York. Under his direction, CCV has performed an array of diverse chamber music and choral-orchestral works. While completing his doctorate, <span class=\"outlook-search-highlight\" data-markjs=\"true\">Wiggins<\/span> conducted the U.S. premiere of P\u0113teris Vasks\u2019 <i>Da pacem Domine<\/i>\u00a0and served as the Chorus Master for Florida State Opera, where he prepared ensembles for performances of Verdi\u2019s <i>La traviata<\/i>\u00a0and the collegiate premiere of Carlisle Floyd\u2019s <i>The Prince of Players<\/i>. <span class=\"outlook-search-highlight\" data-markjs=\"true\">Wiggins<\/span> has also conducted performances of Strauss\u2019 <i>Die Fledermaus<\/i>\u00a0in conjunction with CSU Fullerton Opera.<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">\u200b<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\"><span class=\"outlook-search-highlight\" data-markjs=\"true\">Wiggins<\/span> studied conducting with Andr\u00e9 Thomas, Robert Istad, Kevin Fenton, Richard Clary, and Kimo Furumoto, and has received additional professional training from Duain Wolfe, John Alexander, Jerry Blackstone, David Hayes, Lucinda Carver, and Paul Rardin. His performance experience includes working under the batons of Esa-Pekka Salonen, James Conlon, Carl St. Clair, Keith Lockhart, John Mauceri, Steven Mercurio, and John Williams.\u200b<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\"><span class=\"outlook-search-highlight\" data-markjs=\"true\">Wiggins<\/span> taught secondary choral music in Southern California for nine years. His choirs at San Clemente High School and West Covina High School toured nationally and received top ratings and scores at regional, state, and national choral festivals.
