As a Resident Artist with Connecticut Opera, Ms. Ziegler performed<\/p>\n<p>the roles of Mercedes in Carmen, Zulma in L&#8217;Italiana in Algeri, and Inez in Il Trovatore.<\/p>\n<p>Internationally, Ms. Ziegler\u2019s work has taken her to Graz, Austria where, she was a soloist with the<\/p>\n<p>AIMS Festival Orchestra for performances of Bernstein\u2019s Arias &amp; Barcarolles. Closer to home she<\/p>\n<p>appeared as a soloist in Rutter&#8217;s Magnificat and Handel&#8217;s Messiah with the Falmouth Chorale,<\/p>\n<p>Berlioz\u2019s Les Nuits d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 with the Holyoke Civic Symphony, and Haydn\u2019s Lord Nelson Mass the New<\/p>\n<p>Haven Oratorio Choir. Additionally, Ms. Ziegler was a member of the Metropolitan Opera Extra<\/p>\n<p>Chorus.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Ziegler holds a Master of Music in voice from the University of Connecticut, as well as a Bachelor<\/p>\n<p>of Arts in Music and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>She has been a young artist with Opera North, Connecticut Opera, and AIMS in Graz. Ms. Ziegler<\/p>\n<p>has been an award winner in competitions with the Metropolitan Opera National Council, Sullivan<\/p>\n<p>Foundation, Palm Beach Opera, Connecticut Opera Guild, and Opera Theater of Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Ziegler teaches voice at the University of Connecticut, Western CT State University, and also<\/p>\n<p>maintains a private studio. Her students have performed with various opera companies and<\/p>\n<p>symphonies around the U.S.A. and internationally.
