Most recently, Elena<br \/>\nstarred as Rosalie Mullins in the Long Island premiere of School of Rock. She made her<br \/>\ndebut with The Princeton Festival in June 2019, covering the role of Madame Mao in<br \/>\nNixon in China. Other favorite characters performed range from Queen of the Night in<br \/>\nDie Zauberfl\u00f6te to Khloe\/Kourtney in the workshop of Dana Kaufman\u2019s Opera<br \/>\nKardashian, which were roles created for her.<\/p>\n<p>As an enthusiastic collaborator in art song and new music, Elena has premiered the music<br \/>\nof Julian Brijaldo, Dylan Findley, Peter Evans, Zachary Friedland, and Jared Hettrick,<br \/>\nwhose Hunger Games-themed cycle Songs on Fire was written expressly for her. She has<br \/>\nenjoyed appearances with Kaleidoscope MusArt, Hispanic-American Lyric Theatre, New<br \/>\nAmerican Voices, and the soundSCAPE Festival in Maccagno, Italy. Elena premiered the<br \/>\npiano version of vocal-movement work Falling for Prepositions at Miami\u2019s Zenith Art &amp;<br \/>\nFashion, where she closely collaborated with dancer-creator Claire Porter and composer<br \/>\nMary Ellen Childs. She currently sings with the eVoco Voice Collective and the Cathedral<br \/>\nof the Incarnation in Garden City, NY.<\/p>\n<p>Elena earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance at the<br \/>\nUniversity of Miami\u2019s Frost School of Music, where her research interests included<br \/>\nmindfulness practice in the collegiate vocal studio and cabaret song. She received her<br \/>\nMaster of Music in Vocal Performance from the Longy School of Music of Bard College.<br \/>\nIn addition to WCSU, Elena teaches musical theatre voice at Manhattanville College, as<br \/>\nwell as Vocal Pedagogy at CUNY Queens College.
