{"id":53,"date":"2017-07-05T16:02:28","date_gmt":"2017-07-05T16:02:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wcsu.wpengine.com\/music\/faculty\/javier_oviedo\/"},"modified":"2017-07-24T14:29:26","modified_gmt":"2017-07-24T14:29:26","slug":"javier-oviedo","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/music\/faculty\/javier-oviedo\/","title":{"rendered":"Javier Oviedo"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p><span class=\"inlineheader\">Adjunct Instructor of Music<\/span><br \/>\n<em>Applied Saxophone, Saxophone Quartet<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Saxophonist, Javier Oviedo has performed in various venues around the country and in New York City including Alice Tully Hall, Weil Recital Hall and the Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall.\u00a0 He has played with orchestras such as the San Antonio Symphony and the New Jersey Symphony, and with conductors such as Mitch Miller, Akira Endo, and Zdenek Macal.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Oviedo is also active as a chamber musician, performing in such venues as the New York Society for Ethical Culture, the Harvard Club, the Queen Sophia Spanish Institute, the Art Under Construction Studios, and the Maverick Festival Hall with Sequitur Chamber Ensemble in Woodstock, NY.\u00a0 He is the managing director of F.R.E.D.
