The events will be free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/1401550013484989\">Birds of Prey<\/a> will descend upon the Midtown campus Quadrangle at noon on<strong> Monday, April 6.<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aplacecalledhoperaptors.com\/index.html\">A Place Called Hope<\/a> \u2014 a rehabilitation and education center for birds of prey \u2014 will feature an eagle, hawk and owl, which will fly over the Midtown campus as a trainer discusses each bird. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>At noon on <strong>Tuesday, April 7<\/strong>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/1550339381904563\">Wolf Conservation Demonstration<\/a> will be in Alumni Hall. Atka, an arctic wolf, will be accompanied by a member of the <a href=\"http:\/\/nywolf.org\/\">Wolf Conservation Center<\/a> (WCC), who will share information about wolf behavior, habitat and more. The WCC, founded in 1999 by H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Grimaud, is an organization whose mission is to \u201cpromote wolf conservation by teaching about wolves, their relationship to the environment and the human role in protecting their future.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>For the brave, there will be a day dedicated to reptiles. At noon on <strong>Wednesday, April 8<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/848880385173049\">live reptiles<\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/reptilesonthemove\/timeline?ref=page_internal\">Reptiles On The Move<\/a> will make an appearance in the Student Center Theater. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Lauren Davidoski, president of WCSU Roots &amp; Shoots, said the Animal Week events are educational for all. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s important for the community to attend the events during Animal Week because we can become educated about endangered species, rescued animals and even some reptiles that are a bit too dangerous to keep as house pets,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>An additional event with a focus on conservation will be at 9 a.m. on <strong>Wednesday, April 15<\/strong>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildmanstevebrill.com\/\">Wildman Steve Brill<\/a> will offer a free foraging tour at the Westside Nature Preserve on the university\u2019s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<br \/>\nThe Jane Goodall Center at WCSU has been an educational magnet for environmental, permaculture and conservation discussion and research.
