DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 Several well-known authors, faculty mentors and one of Western Connecticut State University\u2019s M.F.A. graduates will share their works at public evening readings held from Tuesday, Dec. 28, through Saturday, Jan. 1, as part of the university\u2019s Master of Fine Arts in Creative and Professional Writing program\u2019s Winter Residency.<\/p>\n

The reading times and locations are as follows:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u2022\tTuesday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m.: Readings by Paola Corso and Don Snyder at the Maron Hotel, 42 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. Corso recently released her new book, \u201cCatina\u2019s Haircut: A Novel in Stories,\u201d and Snyder\u2019s \u201cThe Winter Travelers\u201d is due out in 2011.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u2022\tWednesday, Dec. 29, at 7 p.m.: Roger Boylan will read from \u201cThe Great Pint-Pulling Olympiad\u201d and from his nearly finished novel, \u201cOhiowa Impromptu,\u201d and Elizabeth Cohen will read some of her new work at Alumni Hall on Western\u2019s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury.<\/p>\n

\u2022\tThursday, Dec. 30, at 7 p.m.: Readings by Daniel Asa Rose and Dan Pope will be followed by poetry readings at the Maron Hotel. <\/p>\n

\u2022\tSaturday, Jan. 1, at 7 p.m.: M.F.A. graduate Laura Hayden will read from her thesis, \u201cStaying Alive: A Love Story,\u201d at the Maron Hotel. An open mic session will follow. <\/p>\n
