The movie tells the story of a Texas teen\u2019s fight for sexual education. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, March 5, at 7 p.m.:<\/strong> \u201cRosa Luxembourg\u201d will be shown in the White Hall Viewing Room 1 on the Midtown campus. This film is about a German revolutionary imprisoned for anti-war activities and eventually murdered.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m.:<\/strong> See how college fashions have changed through the years since the 1920s at \u201cFashion Forward.\u201d The fashion show is a chance for faculty, students and alumni to model clothes at the Student Center Theater, Midtown campus.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0\"><strong>Wednesday, March 11, at 11 a.m.:<\/strong> A Faculty Authors\u2019 Reading will feature Dr. Nicholas Gallucci, professor of psychology and author of \u201cSport Psychology: Performance Enhancement, Performance Inhibition, Individuals and Teams\u201d; Dr. Burton Peretti, professor of history and author of \u201cLift Every Voice: The History of African American Music\u201d; and Dr. Shouhua Qi, associate professor of English and author of \u201cThe Pearl Jacket.\u201d The reading will be on the first floor of Warner Hall, Midtown campus; refreshments will be served. Books will be available for purchase and signing.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0\"><strong>Wednesday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m.:<\/strong> \u201cPolitical Fight Night\u201d heats up as audience members argue the merits of abstinence versus comprehensive sexual education. The debate will take place in The Club at the Westside Campus Center, 43 Lake Avenue Extension, in Danbury.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, March 12, at 8 p.m.:<\/strong> WestConn will present the Midtown Coffeehouse in Alumni Hall on the university\u2019s Midtown campus. The coffeehouse will include open mic performers at 8 p.m., followed by the featured act in celebration of Women\u2019s History Month, at 9 p.m. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, March 17, at 12:30 p.m.: <\/strong>A panel discussion of \u201cWomen and the Economy\u201d will be held on the first floor of Warner Hall, Midtown campus. A faculty panel will discuss the impact of economic change and the particular changes that women face, both here and abroad. On the panel will be Professor of Sociology Dr. Carina Bandhauer, Assistant Professor of History Dr. Jennifer Nugent Duffy, Assistant Professor of Anthropology Dr. Damla Isik, and Associate Professor of History Dr. Martha May. Lunch will be served.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong>All of the events are free and open to the public.
