DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 Housatonic Book Award<\/a> winners Ann Jacobus and Brandon Brown will join faculty and recent alumni of the Master of Fine Arts in Creative and Professional Writing<\/a> program at Western Connecticut State University<\/a> in a weeklong program of author readings during the M.F.A. summer residency session in August.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The readings will offer the Danbury area community an opportunity to hear selections from the written works of nationally renowned authors as well as emerging young writers from Connecticut. Launched in 2005, the M.F.A. program at Western enables participants from across the nation to pursue master\u2019s degree studies in a diverse range of creative and professional writing genres through both distance learning and on-campus residencies.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

All readings will be in the President\u2019s Reception Room, located in room 218 of the Classroom Building on the university\u2019s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. Admission will be free and the public is invited. Readings will begin at 7:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. <\/p>\n
