Rice, who currently is nominated for ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year, brings his \u201cBack To College Tour\u201d to the outdoor venue on <strong>Friday, May 6, 2016. <\/strong>The Nashville-based singer and songwriter spent 2015 touring with country music star Kenny Chesney before setting out on his third headlining tour, The JD and Jesus Tour, which sold out numerous venues along the way.<\/p>\n<p>Rice\u2019s latest song, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6h0U20vLvkU\">Whisper<\/a>,\u201d is the first single off of his forthcoming album, which is slated for release mid-2016. Rice is preparing for the release of his second Columbia Nashville\/Dack Janiels Records album and returning to his roots to play his new music for \u201cthe most discerning crowd there is: college kids.\u201d His most recent album, \u201cIgnite The Night,\u201d charted at No. 1 on Billboard\u2019s Top Country Albums, and No. 3 on the imprint\u2019s all-genre chart; while two singles from the album spiraled to Top 5 positions: \u201cGonna Wanna Tonight\u201d and the Platinum-certified single, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2a4jXMD-uDI\">Ready Set Roll<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The young country artist tells <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/news\/chase-rice-looks-ahead-to-more-mature-new-album-20151019#ixzz3p77Tvanq\">Rolling Stone<\/a> there\u2019s going to be \u201ca lot more me\u201d and \u201ca lot less girls, trucks and a perfect night.
