{"id":118,"date":"2019-07-17T18:17:53","date_gmt":"2019-07-17T18:17:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wcsu.wpengine.com\/news-archives\/2105-senior-thesis-exhibition\/"},"modified":"2019-07-17T18:17:53","modified_gmt":"2019-07-17T18:17:53","slug":"2105-senior-thesis-exhibition","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/news-archives\/2105-senior-thesis-exhibition\/","title":{"rendered":"2015  WCSU senior art students to exhibit artwork"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content\">&#013;<\/p>\n<div id=\"sharingTools\"><!-- #include virtual=\"\/include\/sharingtools.inc\" --><\/div>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<div id=\"breadcrumb\"><!-- #include virtual=\"\/include\/breadcrumb.inc\" --><\/div>\n<p>&#013;<br \/>\n    &#013;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0\"><strong>DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\">Western Connecticut State University<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/art\/\">Department of Art<\/a> will present the Senior Thesis Exhibition, featuring the work of Bachelor of Arts in Art candidates in an exhibition that will be on view from <strong>Wednesday, April 22, through Tuesday, May 5, 2015,<\/strong> in the Art Gallery at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/svpa\/svpa-center.asp\">Visual and Performing Arts Center<\/a> on the university\u2019s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>An Opening Reception will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on <strong>Wednesday, April 22,<\/strong> in the gallery. Admission will be free to the reception and the exhibition, and the public is invited to attend. The gallery will be open for viewing from noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>The Senior Thesis Exhibition is the capstone experience for the students who major in art and graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Within the program, there are four areas of concentration: Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography and Studio Art. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\t<strong>Graphic Design<\/strong> seniors include: Christopher Cancro, of Danbury; Michael J. Capozzi, of Bethlehem; Jacqueline S. Chakar, of Milford; Amanda L. Chartier, of Monroe; Jonathan M. Giannone, of Danbury; Erik Hoffman, of Newtown; Shyena D. Joseph, of New Milford; Casey L. Laufer, of Fairfield; Christopher R. Layton, of Carmel, New York; Rebecca J. Lienhardt, of Bethel; Leonardo S. Magrani, of Danbury; Erin Manion, of Sandy Hook; Elizabeth A. Martland, of Danbury; Rebecca N. Oliveira, of Bethel; and Chelsea A. Walsh, of Southbury.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\t<strong>Illustration<\/strong> seniors include: Brian S. Ferreira, of Bethel; Jose M. Lebron, of Danbury; &#013;<br \/>\n  Barbara K. Sinisi, of Wethersfield; Nicholas G. Talarico, of Woodbury; and Eric R. &#013;<br \/>\n  Trocola, of Danbury.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\t<strong>Photography<\/strong> seniors include: Nuno Cardoso, of Bridgeport; Arthur J. Hauser, of Danbury; Allyson P. McKeon, of New Fairfield; and Jocelyn Ward, of Brookfield.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\t<strong>Studio Art<\/strong> seniors are: Christine E. Armold, of Sandy Hook; Elham Nazari, of Danbury;&#013;<br \/>\n  Caitlynn A. Neeson, of Bethel; and Alyssa M.
