Men Tell Stories Too!)\u201d on Friday,  March 30, at two area senior living communities.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Davis will speak at 10 a.m. at Ridgefield Crossings, 640 Danbury Road in  Ridgefield and at 2 p.m. at The Village at  Brookfield Common, 246A Federal Road  in Brookfield.  The lectures will be free and the public is invited. Seats are limited; call  (203) 431-2255 to reserve a space at the Ridgefield  presentation or (203) 775-8696 to reserve a space in Brookfield.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>March is Women\u2019s History Month  and WestConn\u2019s monthlong celebration is called \u201cThe Fabric of Our Lives.\u201d Davis said her talk will  be of interest not only to quilters, but also to those who appreciate the  history of both genders. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this talk,  I will share my research on quilting and women\u2019s history, how quilting grew  into its present popularity, and the ways in which men participate in quilting,\u201d  she said. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>A native of  Northern California, Davis holds a doctorate in  Communication from Ohio   State University.  Her interests lie in rhetorical theory and criticism, gender, and health  communication.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Davis\u2019 talk is one of an ongoing series of educational classes  offered by WestConn faculty, staff and alumni at The Village at Brookfield  Common and Ridgefield Crossings, senior living communities with independent and  assisted-living style apartments.
