WCSU to present \u2018Aesop\u2019s Falables\u2019 this weekend <\/p>\n

\"Image<\/strong>DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 The Western Connecticut State University<\/a> Department of Theatre Arts<\/a> will stage \u201cAesop\u2019s Falables\u201d by Ed Graczyk<\/a> in three performances at WCSU on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27, 2014<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Performances will be at 3 and 7:30 p.m. on April 26 and at 3 p.m. on April 27, in the Berkshire Theatre on the university\u2019s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Tickets will be $15 for general admission and $10 for seniors and non-WCSU students with I.D. WCSU students with a valid I.D will be admitted free. According to director Sean Harris, the WCSU production of \u201cAesop\u2019s Falables\u201d is a fun, modern take on the classic \u201cAesop\u2019s Fables,\u201d including \u201cThe Tortoise and the Hare,\u201d \u201cThe Country Mouse and the City Mouse,\u201d \u201cThe Fox and the Grape\u201d and more. With the action narrated by Jack in the Box, follow along as Wilfred Wolf turns the fables on their heads while trying to prove that he was mislabeled as a villain. This family-friendly production will provide plenty of laughs. <\/p>\n

The cast includes: Alex Allyn, of Trumbull; Michael Battista, of North Haven; Jennifer Bavone, of Oakville; Lauren Bell, of Southbury; David Fejes, of New Fairfield; Eric Gomez, of Prospect; Zaiah Hill, of Waterbury; Kera Lalli, of Stamford; Kate Morris, of New Fairfield; Kayla Murphy, of Brookfield; Alexandra Olynik, of East Haven; Connor Thompson, of Ledyard; and Manuel Torres, of West Haven.<\/p>\n
