Presented by Western\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/wcsu.edu\/theatrearts\/\">Department of Theatre Arts<\/a>,  performances will be at 7 p.m. on  Thursday, April 28, and Friday, April 29; 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, and  Saturday, May 7; with 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday, April 30; Sunday, May 1;  Saturday, May 7; and Sunday, May 8, in the Mainstage Theatre  of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/svpa\/events.asp\">Visual and  Performing Arts Center<\/a> (VPAC) on the university\u2019s Westside campus, 43 Lake  Ave extension in Danbury. The production is directed by <a href=\"http:\/\/wcsu.edu\/theatrearts\/hickock.asp\">John Hickok.<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/o\/visual-and-performing-arts-center-at-western-connecticut-state-university-6275173871\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/w\/newsevents\/images\/AOGG_3131.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"250\" class=\"alignright\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnne  of Green Gables is packed with important lessons and discoveries that I believe  every person can relate to,\u201d Caillouette said. \u201cAnne is a character that I am  honored and grateful to play. She is an inspiration to me and to others. I hope  that Anne&#8217;s fierce independence and passion empower those who come to see the  show,\u201d she added. The  1965 romantic comedy musical was written by Donald Herron and Norman Campbell, based  on Lucy Maud Montgomery\u2019s novel. The show originated at the Charlottetown  Festival in Prince Edward Island, Canada, and is the story of a spunky and  imaginative red-haired orphan. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: italic\">Western Connecticut  State University offers outstanding faculty in a range of quality academic  programs.
