It was their 292nd appearance at the club and they received a fee of \u00a3300 for the gig.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning at noon on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of this historic occasion, thousands of fans will \u201cCome Together\u201d for a day-long festival of Beatles music at Ives Concert Park on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\">Western Connecticut State University<\/a> Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The second annual \u201cDanbury Fields Forever\u201d music, arts and food festival, themed \u201cGive Peace a Chance\u201d in tribute to John Lennon\u2019s iconic ode against violence, will feature 10 bands, each representing different eras or presentations of Beatles music. An entire-day \u201cticket to ride\u201d admission starts at $20. Tickets are available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beatlesmusicfestival.eventbrite.com\/\">beatlesmusicfestival.eventbrite.com<\/a>. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Newtown Parks &amp; Recreation\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newtown-ct.gov\/Public_Documents\/NewtownCT_Park\/20121220dickinsonplaygroundboard.pdf\">Dickinson Memorial Playground Fund<\/a>, with the first $2 from each ticket sold going to Hearst Corp.\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/nieonline.com\/\">Newspapers in Education<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Food and beverages will be available for purchase. There also will be music\/memorabilia vendors and exhibits, plus family-friendly features such as face-painting and inflatables for kids. Featured acts will include several regional and national acts, with special tributes to John Lennon and George Harrison<\/p>\n<p>Liverpool Productions, host of \u201cDanbury Fields Forever,\u201d has presented Beatles Expos in Connecticut and other areas since 1978.
