DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 The \u201cDanbury Fields Forever\u201d Beatles Music Festival, featuring 10 bands playing during a 10-hour period, will come to Ives Concert Park on the Westside campus of Western Connecticut State University<\/a>, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury, on Saturday, July 28, 2012<\/strong>. The festival is open to all ages, and is expected to attract music lovers spanning the generations. Gates will open at 10 a.m. and the music will continue until 8 p.m. Entire-day \u201cticket to ride\u201d admission is $15 in advance for lawn seating, $20 at the door; reserved seats are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Tickets are on sale at http:\/\/danburyfieldsforever.eventbrite.com<\/a>. There also are limited VIP packages available.<\/p>\n

The lineup, which includes artists representing The Beatles\u2019 various band eras and solo careers, will feature Pete Santora, who has portrayed George Harrison in the Broadway, national and London productions of \u201cBeatlemania.\u201d His musical theatre credits include the national and European tours of the original \u201cGodspell.\u201d He has appeared on screen in \u201cGoodfellas,\u201d \u201cGodfather 3\u201d and \u201cPrizzi\u2019s Honor,\u201d as well as on TV in various episodes of \u201cLaw and Order.\u201d Born in the Bronx and now a resident of Kingston, N.Y., Santora continues to perform his solo tributes \u201cBeing The Beatle,\u201d \u201cHarrisong\u201d and \u201cLiverpool Cowboy,\u201d as well as recording and producing his own original music.<\/p>\n

He fills out a lineup that already includes world-class tributes to John Lennon and Paul McCartney.<\/p>\n

6:15 p.m. Carlo Cantamessa \u201cIn My Life\u201d \u2013 John Lennon Tribute set<\/p>\n

7:15 p.m. MerseyBeatMania \u2013 early-years Beatles Tribute Band in full costumes<\/p>\n

Also scheduled to appear is world-famous rock & roll artist Shannon. There will be vendors with souvenirs, memorabilia and collectibles; food and beverages available for purchase; and special attractions for kids including face-painting, inflatables and more. The event is sponsored by Union Savings Bank, Wells Fargo Advisors, Charter Communications, 98Q, B107.3 FM, WLAD and the News-Times.<\/p>\n
