‘Best of’ list for Danbury, WCSU continues to grow
\n\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014It\u2019s a challenge to pick up any \u201cbest of\u201d story these days without finding Western Connecticut State University or its hometown, Danbury, at \u2014 or near \u2014 the top of the list.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

According to a just-released 24\/7 Wall Street<\/a> study, the second-best city in which to live in the United States? Danbury.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The subject of two Wall St. Journal articles \u2014 one in 2012 and one this year \u2014 about a great city to live and work in? Danbury again.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The New York Times also chimed in about the advantages of living in Danbury in an October 2014 article, \u201cAffordability in Danbury, Conn., Just Over the Border<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

According to the Times, one of Danbury\u2019s many advantages (described in the story under the heading \u201cWhat To Do\u201d), is what WCSU brings to the arts and culture of the community.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Westside Campus of Western Connecticut State University just opened a new Visual and Performing Arts Center<\/a> with an art gallery, concert hall and 350-seat theater. The campus amphitheater, the Ives Concert Park, hosts a summer musical lineup,\u201d the Times reporter wrote.<\/p>\n

Danbury is also located within one of \u201cThe Ten Most Artistic States in the U.S.\u201d according to Bloomberg.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n
