DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 In response to a proclamation<\/a> signed by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy declaring Friday, Dec. 21, 2012<\/strong>, a \u201cDay of Mourning,\u201d Western Connecticut State University<\/a> will ring the bells atop Alumni Hall on the Midtown campus 26 times to commemorate the students and teachers whose lives were taken at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The bells will begin to chime on White Street at 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n
