DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 Western Connecticut State University will present a poetry reading by Associate Professor of Writing, Linguistics and the Creative Process Dr. Brian Clements at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30<\/strong>, in Warner Hall on the university\u2019s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. The event will be free and open to the public.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Clements is the author of several books of and about poetry, including the anthology \u201cAn Introduction to the Prose Poem.\u201d He also has authored several prose poems, including \u201cAnd How to End It\u201d and \u201cDisappointed Psalms.\u201d Clements is the editor of the small press, Firewheel Editions. His latest work of prose poetry, \u201cJargon,\u201d was published in December 2010. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Clements said some works in \u201cJargon\u201d and \u201cAnd How to End It\u201d were written to go along with each other.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u2018\u201cAnd How to End It\u2019 and \u2018Jargon\u2019 are connected by a series of poems that run through the two books, and are composed from language that appears in other poems in the two books, according to a formula based on the Fibonacci sequence,\u201d Clements explained.<\/p>\n
