Later this month, Stewart will share his political knowledge and expertise at a talk at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\">Western Connecticut State University<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>At noon on <strong>Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015,<\/strong> Stewart will present \u201cCareers in Diplomacy: Internship and Job Opportunities at the Department of State.\u201d The discussion, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Warner Hall Lyceum 102 on the university\u2019s Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope he inspires our students, especially those interested in political science, to pursue careers in politics, to get involved and be engaged citizens, and to think about America\u2019s role globally,\u201d said WCSU Professor of Political Science and Conflict Studies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/socialsci\/faculty.asp\">Dr. R. Averell Manes<\/a>. \u201cThis is a good opportunity for them to understand how politics is relevant to their lives and will hopefully encourage them to educate themselves more about political issues that are close to home or thousands of miles away.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Stewart retired from the U.S. Department of State in 2013 as a career member of the Senior Foreign Service. His final assignment was a Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden.
