DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 The <\/a> Ancell School of Business<\/a> at Western Connecticut State University<\/a> will host \u201cThe Entrepreneurship Arc: A Panel Discussion with Successful Local Business Leaders\u201d at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14<\/strong>, in Room 218 of the Westside Classroom Building on the university\u2019s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. The discussion will be free and open to the public.<\/p>\n

Panelists will include:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Andrew Timmerman<\/a>, founder and CEO of Fairfield Crystal Technology<\/a> in New Milford. He has more than 23 years\u2019 experience in management, manufacturing and engineering. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Shawn Emmerson<\/a>, a 2004 WCSU graduate, owner of The Bicycle Center<\/a> in Brookfield. In 2011, Bicycling Retailing Industry News named the store one of the 100 best bicycle shops in the United States.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Michael Carpanzano<\/a>, a WCSU MBA student who won the 2012 Connecticut Business Model <\/a>Competition<\/a><\/u> sponsored by the Entrepreneurship Foundation of Connecticut and was the Grand Prize winner of the Giants Entrepreneurship Challenge<\/a>. Carpanzano created nuplug, a surge-protected extension cord that can be attached to furniture.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Jonathan Soares<\/a>, a 2006 WCSU graduate, CEO of Q Products Inc. and founder\/creator of Jonathan\u2019s Q Gourmet BBQ Sauces<\/a>.<\/u> Soares is also co-founder and CEO of Moo Digital<\/a>, a software development company.<\/p>\n
