Lectures will consist of slides depicting the artist\u2019s work, ranging from  plush landscapes and palatial interiors to still lifes and vivid portraits. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>All  lectures will be at 11 a.m. in Viewing Room 2 of White Hall on the university\u2019s  Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury, with the exception of the Sept. 26  lecture, which will be in Viewing Room 1. The talks are free and the public is  invited.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Scheduled  lectures include:<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, Sept. 9<\/strong>: Painter <a href=\"http:\/\/yinglistudio.com\/pages\/ptgs.html\">Ying  Li<\/a>.  Born in Beijing, China, in 1951, Li graduated from Anhui Teachers University in  1977, where she taught from 1977 to 1983. She received an M.F.A. from Parsons  School of Design in 1987, having immigrated to the United States only four  years before. She has held single and group exhibitions throughout the U.S. and  has been reviewed by The New York Times, Art Forum and The Philadelphia  Inquirer. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, Sept. 26<\/strong>: Illustrator <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottbakal.com\/\">Scott Bakal<\/a>. Nationally  recognized, Bakal received his M.F.A. in Illustration from the University of  Hartford a decade after graduating from the School of Visual Arts in New York  City. He chairs the Student Scholarship Competition and Zankel Scholarship, the  largest illustration student competitions in the world. His clients include  Oprah and Businessweek.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, Oct. 7<\/strong>: Painter <a href=\"http:\/\/robertberlind.net\/bio.html\">Robert  Berlind<\/a>.  Berlind lives and works in New York City and Cochecton, N.Y. He has received  the American Academy &amp; Institute of Arts and Letters Award in Painting and  writes about art for several publications including Art in America,  BorderCrossings and The Brooklyn Rail.<strong \/><\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><strong \/><strong>Monday, Oct. 21<\/strong>: Illustrator <a href=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/edwardtuttle\">Ed  Tuttle<\/a>.  With almost 30 years of experience in the field of illustration and graphic  design, Tuttle has created his own company, <a href=\"http:\/\/eklektos.com\/\">eklektos<\/a>. He specializes in compositing  photography and 3D modeling, designing logos, collateral design, book cover  illustration, poster art and advertising art. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, Nov. 4<\/strong>: Painter <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vincentarcilesi.com\/index.htm\">Vincent  Arcilesi<\/a>.  Born in St. Louis, Mo., he studied design, painting and lithography as an  undergraduate at the University of Oklahoma. He has painted figure compositions  since 1964 and started painting on-site landscapes in 1966. He has had 29 solo  shows, 22 of them in New York City.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, Nov. 18<\/strong>: Painter <a href=\"http:\/\/jimpetersart.com\/page\/gallery\/\">Jim  Peters<\/a>.  Born 1945 in Syracuse, N.Y., Peters graduated with an M.F.A. from Maryland  Institute, College of Art, in 1977. He has work displayed in many collections  worldwide, including the William Benton Museum, the University of Connecticut, the  Flint Institute of Art and the Solomon R.
