DANBURY, CONN. <\/strong>\u2014 From holiday cheer and poetry to hilarious \u201cinappropriate\u201d tales, several well-known authors and accomplished student writers will hold public evening readings from Tuesday, Dec. 29, through Saturday, Jan. 2, as part of the Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Professional Writing program\u2019s Winter Residency at Western Connecticut State University.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Well-known author Don Snyder will read from a novel he is currently working on. Other writers in residence include Mark Sundeen, Roger Boylan, Daniel Nester, Rudolf Okonkwo, Paola Corso and Tim Weed.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The reading times and locations are as follows:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u2022\tTuesday, Dec. 29, at 7 p.m.: Roger Boylan will read from his novel \u201cThe Great Pint-Pulling Olympiad\u201d and from a novel-in-progress tentatively titled \u201cOhiowa Impromptu.\u201d Don Synder will read from his latest work-in-progress, a novel titled \u201cThe Christmas Travelers,\u201d at the Maron Hotel, 42 Lake Ave. Ext. in Danbury.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u2022\tWednesday, Dec. 30, at 7 p.m.: Poetry readings followed by Daniel Nester, who will read from his recent book \u201cHow to be Inappropriate\u201d in Alumni Hall on the WestConn Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury.<\/p>\n

\u2022\tFriday, Jan. 1, at 7 p.m.: Readings by Rudolf Okonkwo and Paola Corso at the Maron Hotel.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u2022\tSaturday, Jan. 2, at 7 p.m.: Readings by Tim Weed and Mark Sundeen at the Maron Hotel. Sundeen\u2019s next book \u201cNorth By Northwestern,\u201d co-written with Captain Sig Hansen, is due out in March. <\/p>\n
