Alumni Art  Exhibition running from <strong>Aug. 30 through Sept.  18, 2016, <\/strong>in the Art Gallery at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/svpa\/svpa-center.asp\">Visual and Performing Arts  Center<\/a> on the university\u2019s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in  Danbury.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>A reception to celebrate the opening of the exhibition will  be from 6 to 8 p.m. on <strong>Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016,<\/strong> at the gallery. Admission will be free to the reception and the exhibition, and  the public is invited. The gallery will be open for viewing from noon to 4 p.m.  Tuesday through Thursday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. <\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>The WCSU <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/art\/\">Department of  Art<\/a> has organized the exhibition to showcase selections from the recent  creations of alumni who earned their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcsu.edu\/art\/mfa\/\">M.F.A.  in Visual Arts<\/a> degrees at Western from 2002 through 2016. Participants in  the show include four alumni who earned M.F.A. degrees with a concentration in  illustration, and 33 alumni who pursued a concentration in painting.<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<p>Featured M.F.A. recipients with a concentration in  illustration, listed by year of their master\u2019s degree award, are:<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>M.F.A. class of       2010: David Ferreira, of New Haven.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>M.F.A. class of       2011: Bonnie Rose Wrigley, of Canterbury.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>M.F.A. class of       2013: Karin Mansberg, of Bethel.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>M.F.A. class of       2016: Lauren Reeves, of Orange.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;\n    <\/ul>\n<p>Participants who earned the M.F.A. with a concentration in  painting, listed by year of their master\u2019s degree award, include:<\/p>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>M.F.A. class of       2002: Ival Stratford Kovner, of Bethel.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>M.F.A. class of       2006: H.K.
